Target Huggies Deal

Today I went to get the baby some diapers at Target.  They have a great deal going on for Huggies.  I also believe the deal works with Pampers too, please make sure to check your local sales ad.

I got 3 packages of Huggies for $8.99 each = 26.97

I printed off 2 $2 coupons and 1 $1 coupon off coupons.com = 26.97-$5 = $21.97.

Then after you pay 3, they give you a $5 giftcard = $16.97.  So that makes them around $5.66 a pack.

That works for me.  Generally, we have been using off brand diapers when there isnt a sale.  The last one I used where Target brands Up & Up and they worked fine.  I actually got a box from Goodwill for $5 so she just finally ran out of diapers.  Now she is good for a few weeks..unless I get my hands on more coupons.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is a search engine that awards you in the form of Swagbucks (points that can be traded in for prizes.) You can chose from a variety of prizes including gift cards. My favorite is a $5 Amazon.com gift card. It costs 45 Swagbucks. You get 3 Swagbucks for joining and can win anywhere from 2 – 5 a day if you search until you win in the morning and in the evening. I usually win within my first 5 searches. They also have Swagcodes out at least 5 times a week that can be worth 1 – 3 Swagbucks.

Disney's 2010 Armed Forces Salute: Get cheaper tickets at Shades of Green

Active or retired military may want to check out the ticket offer available through Shades of Green at WDW in Orlando. Shades of Green is a resort near Magic Kingdom and it is open to military/DOD personnel. One drawback is that you can't book rooms there and get the dining plan too. However, they have an awesome golf course there.
For military who are planning a Disney vacation, you may want to check into the offer available through Shades of Green. From today (January 3, 2010) through July 31, 2010, a 4 day park ticket can be purchased for $99. The military member can purchase a ticket at this price for themselves and up to 5 other family members/friends. The tickets are non-transferrable and must be activated by September 26, 2010. You can add park hopper to the ticket, but it will cost an extra $25. This offer is subject to black out dates, so be sure to read the fine print.
I didn't find anything that said that you had to be a guest at Shades of Green to qualify to buy these tickets at discount. It may be possible to buy these tickets even if you aren't staying on site. Armed Forces Vacation Club does offer significant savings if you are willing to stay off site (condos subject to availability, of course.)

Busch Garden’s Hero Salute Program

For those who are military families or reservists, please take a look at Busch Garden's Hero Salute program. You must register and free admission to a Busch Garden's park is subject to park availability (such as if they are open seasonally).
You must register for this program and valid ID will be required. However, as many as 3 direct dependents of the service member/reservist can get a 1 day admission for free too. So a military wife and two kids can get in free, even if their loved one is deployed abroad.
Please click this link for more information about this awesome program.
